LAS Summer Exhibition 2026

Members are warmly invited to get their entries ready for the summer 2026 exhibition. We had a tremendous range for the Spring Exhibition, with a remarkable standard and high sales, so please join us in St. Laurence’s Church in August.

We are only accepting 200 entries this year, so make sure you’ve completed the exhibition entry form early to avoid disappointment.

The rules for the number of entries of each size changed this year, so make sure that you’re following the exhibition rules.

Please remember that a condition of entry to the exhibition is a session of stewarding. Please arrange your stewarding with Tracey Cheshire on 07717 346456 or email exhibition@ludlowartsociety.org.uk before submitting your entry form. The committee is producing a video to help with stewarding tasks. You are STRONGLY ADVISED to watch this, even if you’ve been stewarding for years – there’s always something new.

Non-members, if you are interested in exhibiting with us, we invite you to join LAS.

July 2026

Second 2026 Plein Air event

After a very successful first session in June, Ludlow Art Society is pleased to invite you to our next Plein Air painting session on Sunday 26th July. All of these sessions are informal, totally flexible and open to all members at no cost. Note that we have shortened the afternoon time as we were all flagging a bit at the end of the last day.

Join us at Whitcliffe Common, Whitcliffe Rd, Ludlow SY8 2HB – with spectacular views over Ludlow, the Castle and beyond.

Please bring your own refreshments. Note: there are no public loos on Whitcliffe, so it’s either plein air (!) or head into town, although there is no obligation to stay for the whole session.

There is roadside parking in laybys on Whitcliffe Road, adjacent to the open common where a toposcope and benches are located. There is also a car park accessed via a gate on the opposite side of the road to the open common area.

If you’d like to attend this session and are not already on the WhatsApp Plein Air group, please confirm to the LAS Secretary, John Knight secretary@ludlowartsociety.org.uk as soon as possible with no obligation, just so we have an idea of likely numbers. The WhatsApp group is just for the Plein Air events to make communication easier, particularly in the event of inclement weather. If you’d be happy to join this WhatsApp group, please confirm by providing your mobile number.

If you can’t make this one, don’t worry, there will be a third session on 27 August.

If you’d like to attend but aren’t yet a member, join us today.
