I began enamelling in 2012 after seeing an advert for enamelling workshops at The English Bridge Shrewsbury. After one workshop I knew that this was a craft that I would be able to immerse myself in totally, it is very addictive.
Later I began involved with The Guild of Enamellers and eventually took over the role of Awards and Selection Secretary and Bursary Secretary. This is a voluntary position but keeps me very busy. I love interacting with other enamellers and find this very stimulating and educational.
I live in the Severn Valley area of Shropshire and am surrounded by stunning landscapes that never fail to inspire any artist.
My work is predominantly based on copper and fired in an electric kiln, although I do sometime fire with a torch. I produce framed pictures, bowls, jewellery, using different enamelling techniques to achieve varying results.
